Freshly laid eggs, warm and creamy milk and luscious locally-grown fruit jam dolloped on homemade farmhouse bread, there are innumerate reasons why staying on a free-range farm will leave you hungry for more…

A Truly Free-Range Farmstay Holiday in Cornwall

Farmstay holidays in CornwallHere at Trevigue we pride ourselves on harnessing our Cornish heritage. We champion the ‘slow food’ movement by ensuring that everything we serve to our guests is picked, caught, grown or sourced locally. Foraging for supper ingredients up on our clifftop farmstay with the mighty Atlantic waves crashing in the background sounds idyllic, because it truly is. The fresh sea air, nourishing rain and summer days filled with golden sunshine all combine to create the perfect environment for growing the tastiest Cornish produce. We consider ourselves extremely lucky to live in an area which is so rich in beauty and bountiful in produce; nothing tastes better than a home-cooked supper created using local samphire, kale or fennel. And we have to say that our homemade sausages are completely scrumptious and worth coming back to our for, as many of our returning guests will tell you! We create delicious dishes using the freshest free-range ingredients to ensure that our guests can truly experience a farmstay holiday in Cornwall in all its gastronomic glory.

Proud Cornish Heritage

A farmstay holiday in CornwallWe are a family-run business passionate about our North Cornwall B&B, about good local fresh food and about providing great holidays! Our three children have taken a keen interest in the cooking and preparation of dishes, and Isabel’s mouthwatering cakes and inventive combinations of local ingredients are so wonderfully tempting that they regularly take pride of place on the Trevigue menu. The emphasis at Trevigue is on home-baked, home-grown, delicious breakfasts and evening meals. Seasonal fresh ingredients are used to create an interesting twist on English classics – we only use the most carefully-chosen meat and fish so that you can experience the traditional Cornish food that we were fortunate to grow up with.  We cook with passion and are proud to be Cornish and share the finest Cornish food with our Farmhouse B&B guests. Typical supper dishes served in the dining room might include smoked salmon and avocado salad with a vodka and horseradish crème fraiche, the freshest fillet of hake on a bed of roasted vegetables with a fennel and cream sauce, or pears poached in a spiced cider with ice cream and clotted cream. A pre-supper Cornish tipple enjoyed in the Trevigue B&B ancient courtyard as the sun sets over the sea is nothing short of spectacular…
