Well my goodness, it’s been a very exciting month indeed up here on our gorgeous Cornish clifftop! Not only were we nominated for the Dorset Cereals B&B Awards, but Trevigue B&B quickly rocketed to the top of the leader board to win the coveted monthly prize, meaning we are now through to the final round of the Dorset Cereal B&B awards in November! We are absolutely thrilled to have been chosen for this award and proud that our hard work is becoming recognised across the UK. We were perhaps most pleased to see that we were in the ‘’Friendliest Host” category (perhaps due to being recently shortlisted as one of the friendliest B&Bs in the UK at the annual AA Hospitality Awards) as Cornish farmhouses are synonymous with great hospitality and so this is something which is in our blood here at Trevigue Farmhouse.

The Dorset Cereals B&B Awards’ Friendliest Hosts

The Dorset Cereals B&B Awards were established in 2015 to celebrate wonderful and unique places to stay in the UK. From beautiful and quirky to rustically charming or magically modern, venues are nominated and voted for by the public and each month one fantastic location receives a special monthly prize. All shortlis
ted B&Bs are entered to be in with the ultimate accolade at the Dorset Cereals grand final next month. HDorset Cereals B&B Awardsere’s what they said about Trevigue…

“Trevigue is a beautiful 16th century farmhouse located high on the rugged North Cornish cliffs. Each bedroom is bedecked with fine white linens, fluffy duvets and high quality pocket-sprung beds. The warm and homely backdrop of this historic farmhouse is one of the reasons it was voted one of the friendliest B&Bs in the UK Set in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Guests visiting this National Trust B&B will be greeted by log burning fires and oak beamed ceilings – the perfect cosy atmosphere to curl up with a good book or glass of wine before retiring to one of the luxurious rooms for a peaceful night’s sleep. Breakfast is known to be as enticing and welcoming as the rest of your stay; from smoked salmon and scrambled eggs to creamy porridge, it’s guaranteed to keep you going until lunch – or until a Cornish cream tea!!”

It’s a real honour to win the Dorset Cereals B&B Awards monthly prize, particularly as the competition was fierce with so many other worthy B&Bs in the running. Dorset Cereals are championing a British institution by shining a light on B&Bs, and we couldn’t be prouder to showcase our National Trust B&B in these awards – we wait with baited breath to hear the final result. We’ll be sure to keep you posted over on Our Facebook page as soon as we hear the news, so be sure to stay tuned!
